Google Drive + AutoCAD WS

Google just released there long awaited cloud computing service called Google Drive.  Could this be the start of cloud computing in main stream business?.  With Apple calling the next era in computing a "Post PC world", I could see how Google Drive could be the start to that new era. AutoCAD WS is deeply integrated into the new Google Drive.  After installing the WS Chrome application , you are able to open and save drawings to Google Drive.  AutoCAD WS has a tutorial on how to use AutoCAD WS with Google Drive . AutoCAD WS What is in the future? With the popularity of Google Chrome  along with the growing interest in cloud computing and web based applications, Google maybe on to something here. 3 Things You Need to Know Before Installing AutoCAD 2013

Other then knowing all the  AutoCAD 2013 Key Features  in the new release, there are 3 things you need to know before installing your shiny new toy. 1. What is Cloud Computing? Cloud Computing is a big part of the newest update to AutoCAD.  You are able to us the Autodesk service called Autodesk360 to sync your settings and files.  The video bellow is a good overview of what is cloud computing. 2. What is Autodesk360? Now that we know what is cloud computing, it's time to talk about the service AutoCAD is using to store your information.  Autodesk360 is the service that is integrated into AutoCAD 2013.  This will store both drawing information for access on other computers and mobile devices, along with your custom tools and profiles.  The video bellow will show you an overview of Autodesk360. 3. The time has come! Time to talk about AutoCAD 2013 and all the new cool features. Command Line Enhancements Yes they have changed the command line....It's about time. The command line is now a floating object with transparent history. Array Enhancements A large  amount of array enhancements have been added to the new release. In-canvas Property Preview I am in love with this update.  When you change the property of an object, the changed property will displayed in the model. Point Cloud Support The new point cloud tool has been added to the insert ribbon for quick access to point cloud tools.  AutoCAD 2013 also added the ability to xref point clouds.  Also a number of display options for point clouds has been added.
