This is the first in a series of posts on basic Microstation V8i tips. The Fence File command is a quick Microstation key-in that will Copy the contents of a fence to a new or existing file. For example, if you wanted a file that only contained existing utilities from your survey file, then you could turn everything else off in your survey file, except for the existing utilities, and place a fence around them and key-in FF=, hit Enter and you will be prompted to save the new .dgn file.
